Shelley's Biography

I moved to Ruidoso in the Mid 90's after spending 10 Years working as a Marketing Manager for Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors (First Texas Manufacturing) in El Paso, Texas. While working in El Paso, I landed many major accounts doubling sales each year through hard work, persistence, and a high level of customer service. During this time, My husband Mickey and I had spent many weekends driving from El Paso to Ruidoso enjoying the wondrous mountains and the laid back Ruidoso lifestyle. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to purchase our first property here in 1996. We moved to Ruidoso full time in 1998 and opened an Acoustic music oriented retail store named Folk of the Wood.

In 2005 we sold our music retail business and, with the kids grown and on their own, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of being a Real Estate Agent. I had studied real estate as a major in college back in the 1990s but never saw the real opportunity to immerse myself in this passion until I became so inspired by the wondrous mountain community we live in!

In my spare time I enjoy riding horses and assisting in the rescue of animals in need. Equestrian activities will always be close to my heart and this includes the beautiful horse properties and ranchettes in the Ruidoso, New Mexico area … these properties are treasures for horse lovers like me.

I truly enjoy sharing the beautiful mountain properties offered in our wonderful resort town.
